So, it's my last year of high school this year. We start back up on the 31st. I'm pretty excited! I'm a senior this year, and things are looking pretty good right now. I'm ranked 8th in my class out of 196, but this year, I hope to move up to the top 5. I'm in the process of applying the Penn State University main campus right now (I can't officially send my application until the first of September. That day, I'm getting up ridiculously early so that I can print out the papers I need to give to my guidance counselor and other teachers for recommendation letters ). I'm also planning to apply to the Shreyer Honors College. I hope I can get in. That $3,500 scholarship will definitely be worth any effort I have to put in to get into the Honors College.
I've been pretty busy this summer. I know I haven't updated anything here in a long while, and I'm really sorry to all of my watchers. I've had oodles of summer homework for my AP classes this year, and I've spent most of my free time either working, or with my wonderful boyfriend, Lance. I can't believe how fast my summer has gone! I've had so much fun this summer, and I really don't want it to end. But the sooner it's over, the sooner I start school, and then it's just waiting out the year until I leave for college.
This year, I'm going to be taking so many classes. At our school, we have block scheduling, so it won't be too horrible, as I only have half my classes at one time, but I'm also taking an extra class this year, as an online course. For all that are interested, this is what I will be up to at school this year:

Plus, I want to get some chemistry books and learn as much as possible from those. Right now, I've been really busy studying for my second SAT. On my last one, I scored 670 on the Critical Reading, 570 on the Match, and 590 on the writing. I really need to do better, in order to get into main campus, so I've been doing a lot of math practice online, as it's my worst section.
Also, something exciting has happened this summer! I've bought myself a laptop! I'm so glad I did. It was really a pain to use the desktop downstairs, plus, now I have wireless internet, which is nice. The only complaint, is I'm running Windows Vista as my OS, and Vista is a real pain. They've made it so incredibly hard to navigate and use. Plus, they gave me McAfee as a virus protection program, and I really, really hate McAfee. When you use McAfee, you no longer own your computer- McAfee owns it.
Also, this year, I've decided to join the Tennis Team. I'm not a good Tennis player, but I'm glad I'm playing, because it's gotten me into such great shape so far, and we're only in preseason right now. Our coach is really nice, too. He makes us run a lot, but, surprisingly, it's not too terrible. We've only had two running drills that I've hated- suicides, and jog-to-sprints. They were both pretty hideous drills- but I can feel they've already helped me. Now, just to avoid the junk food and ice cream (No more salt and vinegar chips?! DX lol).
I've scheduled my senior pictures for September the 11th. Maybe I'll upload some into scraps so you can all see how hideous I look! Nah, they won't be so bad. I don't really see the point in having senior pictures, but my mother insists that I have them, so I guess that's reason enough. I do have to leave school to get them done, though, which is a pain. Good thing I won't be missing my AP English class- I only have to be there at 11. It shouldn't cut into anything so drastic to miss. Probably just band and a little bit of French. I may stop at the Lebanon Farmer's Market for sushi for lunch! No cafeteria food for me that day!!
